Coastal Fuels is a proudly 100% Black owned and controlled Junior Mining Company and have been successfully operating under the skilful management of Xolisa Mvinjelwa since 2008 when the company bought the assets of Carolina Coal (a company that had been operating since 1997).
Coastal Fuels own mining and surface rights as well as a fully operational coal mine, wash plant as well as coal trading services in Carolina. Located just 5km outside of Carolina on the R33, both mining and wash plant operations have easy access to main routes and are situated within 2-5km of both Droogvallei and Carolina rail sidings making this a prime location.
Through valuable partnerships with leading coal producers Coastal has built a strong coal sourcing network enabling us to procure, market, sell and deliver coal to a varied market of users, both export and dometsic.
